If you live outside the EEA, Switzerland or the UK, these Terms of Use apply to you.
1. The Contract and Service Provider
FaceReview is operated by Matteo Arcesi, an Italian sole proprietor trading as FaceReview, at Via Lorenzo Pareto 7R, 16129 Genova (GE), Italy; VAT number: 03104750991; Business Register / REA: GE-533264 (“FaceReview”, “we” or “us”).
Support: support@facereview.org; telephone: +39 379 2161464. Legal notices: legal@facereview.org; certified email (PEC): facereview@pecprofessionale.com. The Privacy Policy explains personal-data processing separately.
These Terms govern your use of FaceReview (the “Service”). Creating an account requires acceptance of the Terms; a paid subscription also includes the features, total price, currency, billing interval and renewal conditions shown before you order. You can save or print these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into this contract. Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in method and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized access. Do not share, sell or transfer an account, or create accounts to bypass usage or security limits.
Subscriptions are available only to natural persons purchasing as consumers for personal purposes. You may upload photographs only of yourself and may not use results to make decisions about other people.
3. Features and Access
FaceReview provides a private workspace for photographic facial measurements, appearance estimates and cohort comparisons (“Analyses”), an AI assistant (the “Assistant”), progress history, Personalized Plans and AI image generation (DNA Lab). Available features and limits depend on the plan you select and the requirements displayed for each feature. DNA Lab does not collect, sequence or analyse DNA.
The Free Preview calculates a limited set of facial proportions from your photographs on your own device, without uploading them. All other figures it shows are samples, not an analysis of your photographs. Paid features require a supported browser or app, an internet connection and an eligible subscription. Any photograph, profile or compatibility requirements are shown when you use the relevant feature.
We do not publish your uploads or create a public profile. You decide whether to download or share your results.
4. AI Results and Their Limits
The Assistant, written interpretations, visual estimates, Personalized Plans and DNA Lab use artificial intelligence. Outputs can be inaccurate, biased or inconsistent; measurements and scores also depend on lighting, pose, image quality and reference data. They are estimates for personal appearance exploration, not objective measures of your worth or guarantees of improvement.
FaceReview does not provide diagnosis, treatment, medical advice or emergency care. Procedure and wellbeing information is general information; a qualified professional must assess suitability, risks and alternatives for your circumstances. Stop using appearance-focused features if they cause distress or compulsive behaviour.
DNA Lab produces AI-generated or AI-manipulated illustrations, not photographs of an actual transformation or predictions of treatment results. If you share them, disclose their synthetic nature clearly and preserve any available provenance or AI labels. Review outputs before relying on or sharing them. FaceReview remains responsible for its own AI-transparency and other legal obligations.
5. Your Content and Rights
Upload only photographs of yourself that you have the right to use. You keep your rights in photographs, messages and other inputs. As between you and FaceReview, we assign to you any rights we have in outputs generated for you, to the extent legally transferable. AI output may not attract copyright protection, may resemble another person’s output and may contain third-party material to which we cannot grant rights.
You give us a non-exclusive licence to use your content only as necessary to provide, secure and support the Service or comply with law. It ends when the content is deleted, except for limited retention described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your private photographs in advertising or to train our own general-purpose AI models without separate, specific permission.
FaceReview’s software, branding and other pre-existing material remain with their owners. We give you permission to use them only as needed to use the Service. You may share your own results subject to these Terms and third-party rights.
6. Acceptable Use
Do not use the Service to:
- upload another person’s face, identity documents, unlawful material, sexual exploitation material or non-consensual intimate images;
- harass, impersonate, discriminate, deceive, infringe rights or present fabricated results as authentic evidence;
- identify people, authenticate identity, build face databases or infer sensitive traits such as ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or political opinions;
- make employment, credit, insurance, housing, education, healthcare, law-enforcement or other decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on someone;
- interfere with security, access another account, automate abusive traffic, extract the Service at scale, bypass plan controls or violate applicable sanctions and export restrictions.
Contact support@facereview.org to report harmful results or misuse. Intellectual-property notices should identify the protected work, disputed material and its location, your rights and contact details, and be sent to legal@facereview.org.
7. Subscriptions, Payment and Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically for the interval selected at checkout until cancelled. Before placing a paid order, you see the total charge, applicable taxes, included features, interval and renewal terms. Your order authorizes recurring charges on those terms. We provide confirmation of the contract or order on a durable medium where required by applicable law. Payment receipts or confirmations are provided through the applicable billing channel. We also provide any renewal or price-change notices required by applicable law.
Website payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive your full card details. Your bank may apply its own currency or cross-border charges. Where an app offers purchases through Apple or Google, the seller, billing channel and applicable purchase terms are identified before purchase; that store manages its billing and cancellation controls. Mandatory rights against the responsible seller remain unaffected.
Each paid plan includes a limited AI usage allowance for each month, including when you pay quarterly or yearly. The allowance renews monthly on your subscription schedule. Available AI use varies by plan and feature. The allowance is based on processing use rather than a fixed number of requests. Your remaining allowance is shown in the Service as a percentage. Further AI requests may be unavailable when the remaining allowance cannot cover their processing.
Separately, proportionate security and anti-abuse controls may delay or restrict requests that threaten the Service or other users. Temporary capacity limits may also apply. Failed payments may restrict paid access after any required notice. These controls do not change your plan’s AI usage allowance or remove your rights and remedies if the Service does not meet the contract.
8. Cancelling and Deleting Your Account
You may stop website subscription renewals at any time through the online billing controls in your account. Cancellation stops future renewal charges and normally preserves access until the end of the paid period. If a control does not work, contact support@facereview.org. For a store-managed subscription, cancel through Apple or Google’s subscription settings.
Deleting your account ends access, cancels your website subscription and removes account data subject to the Privacy Policy’s limited retention exceptions. If deletion cannot be completed, we tell you how to seek help. Deleting an app or account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription: cancel it with the store first.
Stopping renewal, deleting an account and exercising a right of withdrawal are different actions. A charge already made is refunded where Section 9 or applicable law requires it.
9. Withdrawal and Refunds
If you are a consumer, you have any mandatory withdrawal, cancellation, refund and other consumer rights provided by the law applicable to you.
EEA and UK consumers. Where the statutory right of withdrawal applies, you may withdraw from a distance contract for the Service within 14 days from the date the contract is concluded, without giving a reason. To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision before the withdrawal period expires. You may do so through our withdrawal function at facereview.org/withdrawal, by emailing support@facereview.org, or by using the model withdrawal form provided in our Withdrawal Notice. An unambiguous statement of your decision to withdraw is sufficient; use of the model form is not mandatory.
If you expressly request that the Service begin during the withdrawal period and subsequently withdraw before that period expires, you may be required to pay an amount proportionate to the Service provided up to the time you informed us of your withdrawal, but only where permitted by applicable law and where the legally required information, request, consent and acknowledgement requirements have been satisfied. Where applicable law permits the right of withdrawal to end following full performance of the Service, it will end only after the Service has been fully performed and all legally required prior consent and acknowledgement requirements have been satisfied.
Where a valid statutory withdrawal is exercised, we will reimburse payments required to be reimbursed by applicable law without undue delay and, in any event, no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to withdraw. Unless you expressly agree otherwise, reimbursement will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction and no refund fee will be charged.
Switzerland. Swiss law does not generally provide a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from an ordinary online service purchase. Any mandatory cancellation, refund, warranty or other consumer rights that apply to you remain unaffected.
Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise by FaceReview, payments are non-refundable. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any mandatory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including rights relating to defective, unavailable or misdescribed services, unauthorized charges or our breach of contract.
Additional information about exercising statutory withdrawal rights, including the model withdrawal form and any legally required information concerning the withdrawal procedure, is available in our Withdrawal Notice.
10. Changes to Prices, Terms and the Service
We may change prices for future purchases. Subscription prices may change for legitimate reasons, such as changes in taxes, inflation, third-party provider costs, material changes to the Service or changes in the cost of providing the Service. An increase for an existing subscription applies only from a subsequent renewal. We give reasonable advance notice, including any minimum notice required by applicable law, and you may cancel before being charged the increased price. We obtain fresh agreement where required by applicable law.
We may change these Terms or the Service to comply with law, protect security, adapt to changes in technology or the availability of essential services, or respond to changes in the cost of providing the Service. Changes apply prospectively. We explain material changes and give reasonable advance notice on a durable medium when they affect an ongoing paid service. Changes do not remove accrued rights or impose undisclosed additional charges.
For EEA consumers, a change beyond what is necessary to maintain conformity requires a valid contractual reason and no additional cost. If it negatively affects access or use more than minimally, you may terminate without charge within 30 days of receiving the information or of the change, whichever is later, unless we let you keep the unchanged conforming service at no additional cost. UK and Swiss mandatory protections continue to apply.
11. Availability and Statutory Guarantees
We provide the Service in accordance with the conformity, service-quality, security and update requirements that apply under applicable law. Availability may be interrupted by maintenance or service disruptions. We do not guarantee a particular score or personal outcome.
If the Service is not supplied or does not conform to the contract, you retain applicable rights to correction, re-performance, a price reduction, cancellation or a refund. If we permanently discontinue a paid service, we give reasonable notice where possible and refund the unused prepaid period to the extent it is no longer supplied. Where applicable law gives you a right to retrieve content following termination or discontinuation, we make the eligible content available in the manner required by that law. Statutory remedies may provide more.
12. Suspension and Termination
You may end your use by cancelling subscriptions and closing your account. We may restrict or end access for a material or repeated breach, non-payment, a legal requirement or a concrete security or safety risk. We act proportionately. Where appropriate or required by law, we explain the reason and give you an opportunity to address the issue. Immediate restriction without advance warning is possible where reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, safety, legal compliance or abuse prevention.
You may contest a restriction through support@facereview.org and request reconsideration. Where applicable law requires human review or another specific review process, we provide that review as required. Any mandatory rights to retrieve eligible content remain unaffected. Termination does not remove payment, refund, data-rights or other obligations that already arose.
13. Responsibility and Liability
Responsibility for loss or damage is determined by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability, statutory guarantee, consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Responsibility for independent providers and professionals is determined by applicable law; mentioning them is not an endorsement or an assurance of their work.
14. Creator Referrals
Creators may earn a commission when you use a referral link or enter a referral code before your first qualifying payment. A valid referral linked to your account gives you 20% off website subscription prices, including renewals, on monthly, quarterly and yearly plans. The discount is additional to the catalogue price for your chosen billing interval and does not reduce your included AI allowance. It is applied before payment and shown at checkout. You cannot refer yourself or add a creator after your first qualifying payment. This offer does not apply to Apple or Google store purchases, and does not combine with other promotional coupons. Existing payments are not recalculated. Participation as a creator is governed by the Partner Program Terms; attribution data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
15. Applicable Law and Complaints
Send complaints to legal@facereview.org so that we can seek a resolution. Contacting us first is encouraged but does not delay a legal deadline or prevent you from using a competent court, regulator or dispute-resolution body. Applicable law and jurisdiction are determined by the relevant legal rules, including the mandatory protections of your habitual residence.
EEA, UK and Swiss consumers retain their applicable statutory conformity, cancellation and unfair-contract protections and may use the courts available under mandatory jurisdiction rules.
Where we are legally required or agree to use a consumer alternative-dispute-resolution body, we provide its details and participation information on the required durable medium. You retain access to all mandatory complaint and court procedures.
16. General Terms
These Terms, the offer accepted at checkout and any expressly agreed additional terms form the contract. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue insofar as the contract can lawfully stand. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. A transfer of the Service or this contract does not reduce your rights or guarantees.
This is version 2026-10-10-terms-europe-v4. We notify you of material revisions under Section 10. The Privacy Policy explains how we use your data and when we ask for separate consent.

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. Its use is not compulsory: you may make any other unambiguous withdrawal statement. Send it to the operator at the postal address in Section 1 or to support@facereview.org.
